Contact others in your life who have shared these experiences with you and ask for their input on your memory of events.
Step 1: Take some time to sit and reflect on significant experiences across your life course. As experiences come to mind, jot down information that helps describe the experience, how you felt at the time, and what that experienced has meant since. Engage in this process multiple times so that you are able to capture as many significant life experiences as possible.
Step 2 (strongly suggested): Contact others in your life who have shared these experiences with you and ask for their input on your memory of events. This is a good way to get additional perspectives on your life and may help as you consider the influence of these events.
Step 3: Place the recollected events in chronological order and weave them together into a coherent life narrative. For this stage, focus on the events themselves (i.e., what happened, when, how, etc.). Give particular attention to how these significant events have influenced your sense of self and place in the world.
